Richard James Key

     Richard James “Rick” Key, 69, of Summersville, WV passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in the Hubbard Hospice House at Charleston.  Born April 21, 1953 at Richwood, he was a son of the late Clell and Dorothy Faye Walters Key.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Steve Key.

     He was a Christian and was a retired meat cutter with Kroger Company.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was an avid tennis player.

     Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Anne Sebert Key; five children that he adored, Nathan Key, Aaron Key, Jacob Key, Nicholas Key, and Mary Jo Key; two grandchildren, Kameron and Kendall; five brothers and three sisters.

     It was his wish to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

     White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
