Andy Holbert Walton

      Andy Holbert Walton, 93 of Summersville, WV passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the WVU- Summersville Regional Medical Center.  Born December 6, 1931 in Mt. Nebo, WV he was a son of the late Ottie and Icy Humphreys Walton.  He was also preceded in death by sixteen siblings.

      He was Baptist by Faith, a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA, a former employee of Summersville Memorial Hospital in maintenance and was a jack of all trades.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 69 years, Helen Virginia Roberts Walton; children, Barb (Bill) Lyons, Darlene (JR) Harris, Sherry (Lawrence) Bailes, Pam (David) Hunter, Fred (Jeanne) Walton, and Allen (Michelle) Walton; two brothers, Utah and Layford Walton; eight grandchildren, Wesley, B.J., Burke, Elane, Douglas, Whitney, Brandon and Breanna; eighteen great grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville with Fred Walton officiating.  Interment will follow at the WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin.

      Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 25, 2025.
