Ann (Chapman) Fitzwater

     Ann Fitzwater, 85, of Summersville, WV went to be with the Lord, family and friends on Monday, March 11, 2024.  Born April 20, 1938 at Richwood, she was the daughter of the late Hobert James and Inez Boggs Chapman.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, James W. Chapman and her sister, Peggy Crites.

     Ann was a lifelong resident of Nicholas County graduating in 1956 from Richwood High School.  She was the executive secretary/personnel officer for Seneca Health Services and upon retirement resumed her position as housewife/homemaker.  She was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church serving on numerous committees and an active member of the Ruth Blake Circle.

     Survivors include her husband, James R. Fitzwater; daughter, Debi Beirne of Stanardsville, VA; son, Rick Fitzwater of Milford, VA; three granddaughters, Megan (Caldwell) Farley of Oak Hill, Nicole Fitzwater of Richmond, VA and Ashley Fitzwater White  of Chesterfield, VA; two great grandsons, Levi and Logan Shafer of Nettie. 

     Ann was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Ann loved her family and cherished each and every one.

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 (Noon) on Friday, March 15, 2024 in the Summersville Baptist Church with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating.  Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

     Friends may call at the church on Friday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
