Barbara McMillion Salyer, 64, of Summersville, passed away on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Summersville on January 9th, 1961, she was the daughter of Lonzo “Bus” and Willa Campbell McMillion, who preceded her in death.
Barb is survived by her husband, Jackie Salyer; son, Brandon Kyle and his wife, Brooke; daughter, Peydon Salyer; brothers, Randy McMillion and wife, Charlene and Kevin McMillion and wife, Teresa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ben Kyle and Baylee Kyle, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends and her beloved cat, Tom, one of many who she affectionately referred to as ‘fluff muffs.’ Barb was retired from Summersville Walmart, having worked there since it first opened. She attended Open Arms Baptist Church in Mount Nebo. Barb was always smiling and easily won people over with her charming wit. She made everyone’s day a little brighter just by being Barb. She will be missed by the many who loved her.
The family will welcome friends to White Funeral Home for visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 on June 10th, 2025, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Pat Bennett will officiate. Interment will be in the family cemetery in Nettie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Open Arms Baptist Church or the Nicholas County Animal Shelter.
