Betty Jo Bishop

     Betty Jo Bishop, 77 of Summersville, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the WVU-Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center.  Born July 5, 1946 at Beckley, WV she was a daughter of the late John and Beulah Ward Frazier.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Sue Dean and Gladys McCallister; one brother, Thomas Frazier.

      She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, loved gardening, watching Christmas movies, and loved her family.

      Survivors include her husband, Howard Bishop; three children, Timothy Bishop, Tammy Jo Bishop, and Mickey Lee Bishop; siblings, John R. Frazier, Jr. and Robert Lee Frazier; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

      Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Mount Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek with Pastor Gene Campbell officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
