Betty Lou Eye

     Betty Lou Eye, 88, of Mt. Nebo, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in the Stone Rise Health Care Center in Summersville.  Born December 12, 1934 at Turtle Creek, WV, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Sarah Eliza Garrett Sanders.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Robert Eye; granddaughter, Betsy Eye; and siblings, Ralph Sanders, Garrett Sanders, Minnie Mae Jarrell, and Lenore Wright.

     She was a Baptist by faith, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose world revolved around her family.  She loved to cook and grow flowers in her flower garden.

     Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen Eye of Greenville, SC, Brian (Jode) Eye of Clearwater, FL, Teresa Eye of Summersville, and Pam (Jason) Payne of Dover, DE; five grandchildren, Stephanie Eye, Whitney (Jarrett) Dixon, Meredith (Tyler) Peterson, Garrett Payne, and Maddie Payne; six great grandchildren, Logan Brooks, Tyler Dixon, Archer Dixon, Piper Dixon, Sawyer Dixon, and Claire Peterson; and a host of other family and friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Dr. Ken Ramsey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
