Carl "Buddy" Dorsey, Jr.

     Carl “Buddy” Dorsey, Jr., 74, from Nallen, WV currently residing in Bucerias, Mexico passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at his home in Mexico.  Born April 16, 1947, he was a son of the late Carl and Edith Dorsey.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Dee Dorsey and son-in law Michael L Hudak, III.

     He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Meadow River Coal.  He loved to laugh and keep people laughing and smiling.  His smile would light up any room.  He enjoyed fishing and loved to peddle the produce.

     Survivors include his son, Brent (Norma) Dorsey of FL; daughter, Tara Hudak of Nallen; sister, Deborah (Paul) Bennett of Nallen; grandkids, Tony (Rhonda) Martin, Bobby Martin, Tristan (Jess) Martin, Bethany Simms, Ben Simms, Shirmace Weatherly, Katie (Zachary) McComas, Zachary (MyKenzie) Dorsey, Samantha Dorsey, and Kelsey (Johnny Hendon) Dorsey; great grandkids, Tyler Martin, Hayden and Paxton Alouf, Deegan Dorsey, Kairi Hendon, Raelynn and Ellie Dorsey, and Willow McComas; nephews, Toby Eidson, Doug Bennett, and Justin (Cassie) Bennett; great nephews, Shane and Dallas Eidson, Wesley and Finley Bennett; great nieces, Abby, Lydia, and Raleigh Bennett; special cousin, Tracy Cartwright; and a host of other family and friends.

    Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville with Pastor Randy Simms officiating.  Following the graveside services Military rites and the Masonic Laurel Lodge # 104 will perform rites.  Interment of the cremains will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

     The family will gather at the cemetery on Saturday at 12:00 (noon) to greet friends and family as they arrive.
