Ms. Carolyn Sue Woodrum Martin, 69, of Summersville went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2021. Born on August 2, 1951 to the late Wilburn Myles Woodrum and Thelma Jean Woodrum. She is also preceeded in death by her half-brother Myles “Jr” Woodrum of Mammoth. She is survived by her daughters; Carol Facemire of North Carolina, and Melinda Kota (Adam) of Elkins. She is survived by her brother William “Bill” Woodrum of Summersville, her half-sister Margaret Ann Helms of Tennessee, her 4 grandchildren: Trey Westerfeld, Isaiah Facemire, Griffen Westerfeld, Kaitlyn Facemire and several nieces and nephews. She was a Loving Mother, Phenomenal Grandmother, and an extremely caring individual. She was able to deliver Joy to those around her even in the hardest times. She was blessed to live a life full of Love and Laughter. From her constant jokes to her contagious laugh, there was never a dull moment with our “Grandma Pooch”. The Bible tells us that “…weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5 KJV). Our family takes comfort knowing that although she has been called home to be with our Lord, her Love and Joy will live on through the lives that she has touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at the graveside on Saturday June 19th at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. The service will begin at 3:00 PM, with the Rev. Bernell Morris officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whitefuneralhomewv.com
