Carroll Newton Preast

     Carroll Newton Preast, 72, of Swiss, WV passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport.  Born January 7, 1950 at Big Creek, Fayette County, WV, he was a son of the late Elzie and Chessie Blanqkenship Preast. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Preast, by his son, Shawn Preast, and siblings, Delena, Verna, Dorothy, Levana, Nathan.

     Carroll was a great man, father and husband. He was self-employed all his life, owning his own car lot and body shop. He operated semi-trucks and owned a waste disposal company as well. Alongside his many professional achievements he was a loving father to his Son and Daughter and her two sons who had none.  All this done alongside his wife  Judy, who he’d spent over 50 years of marriage with, before her passing in 2018. Carroll was a man who you could count on. A man his grandsons could look up to and the man they one day hope to become. Carroll will be missed deeply in the hearts of his family and close friends.

     Survivors include his daughter, Tonya Harrison of Swiss; three grandsons, Sebastian, Liam, and Zack; one granddaughter, Ashley; siblings, Betty Elkins, Clifford Preast, Otis Preast, Robert Preast, Stanley Preast, and Brenda Lanham.

     In keeping with his wish he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held later.

     White Funeral Home at Summerville is in charge of the arrangements.
