Charles “Charlie” Albert Louk, 78, of Summersville went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025. He was surrounded by his family as they sang him into the gates of heaven. He was born on February 26, 1947 in Bergoo, WV to Clester and Evelyn Louk. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Louk; one sister, Patricia Prentice; and by two son-in-law’s, Phillip Meadows and Tom Baker.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Patty Louk who was also his high school sweetheart; daughters, Dee (Greg) Grim and Jamie Baker; five grandchildren, Aaron (Mandy) Evans, Marcus (Ashley) Evans, William (Hannah) Lemasters, Hannah (Ricky) Ahart, and Lilly (Chase) Meadows Gardner; four great grandchildren, Jason and Brooklynn Evans, Adley Ahart, Claire Lemasters, and baby Ahart due in December.
Charlie was a member of the Summersville Masonic Lodge #76, past Grand Master of West Virginia AF&AM, member of Sewell Chapter #24 Royal Arch Masons, member of Winolia Chapter #59 Order of Eastern Star, 32 Degree Mason Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Charleston, and was given an honorary Knight Commander Court of Honor. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Fellowship Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was also a former member of the Summerville Volunteer Fire Department serving the community for 30 years, and was a truck driver for U-Save Propane. He was a former host on the Gospel Showcase at the local radio station for many years, he was the MC at the Southern Gospel Music Festival at the Music Park in Summersville, and he loved to golf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Southern Baptist Fellowship Church in Summersville with Pastor Delbert Walker and Aaron Evans officiating. Interment with Masonic Graveside Rites will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
