Connie Humphrey

Connie Humphrey, 60, of Alta, WV passed away at home with her family by her side on Monday, July 6, 2020 after a brief but courageous battle with leukemia. Born January 21, 1960 she was a daughter of the late James Bates and Jean Lowe Vance. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Bates, sister, Martha Bellinger, and her step-father, Willis Vance. She was a homemaker for 41 years; however her most superb trait was the size of her heart! Connie welcomed everyone into her home and her life with open arms! She treated everyone whom entered it as they were her own children. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, the joys of her life and best friends, Christina Humphrey of Montgomery and Mary Humphrey of Smithers; mother and father-in-law, Clifford (Grace) Humphrey of Alta; siblings, Susan Blankenship of Summersville, Janie (Jack) Hudnall of Enon, and Debbie (Gene) Roberts of Zela, and a host of other family and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.
