Cora Loretta McClung

Cora Loretta McClung, 91, of Canvas, WV passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 in the Summersville Healthcare Center.  Born June 27, 1932 at Canvas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Omen and Viola Brown Whitman.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. McClung and by seven siblings.

     She was a member of the Jordan Chapel United Methodist Church at Canvas, loved gardening and helping others.

      Survivors include her daughter, Donna (William) Jeffrey; son, Dale McClung; three grandchildren, Ricky (Chasity) Jeffrey; Samantha Jeffrey and Matthew Jeffrey; great grandchildren, Nic Snow, Gabe Snow, Trentin Bailey, Talon Jeffrey, Grayson Jeffrey and William Jeffrey.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville with Pastor Lonnie Strickland officiating.  Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Nettie.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
