Cynthia Diane Taylor, 75, of Canvas, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. Born January 13, 1949 at Sutton, WV she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Rosalie Spinks Taylor.
Cynthia was a Christian and faithful follower of Jesus Crist for many years. She was honored to have worked with many talented and devoted nurses and other clinicians during her 50 year career with Charleston Area Medical Center. She held many clinical and leadership positions during her final 18 years at CAMC including being the Director for Nursing Practice and Education.
Cynthia was a lifelong learner and promoted and supported peers and coworkers to participate in ongoing learning opportunities. She earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY and obtained National Certification for Nursing Leadership from the American Nurses Association.
She is survived by one brother, Lee (Shari) Taylor; one sister, Janet (Jim) Herold of South Carolina; two nephews, Herb (Susan)Taylor of North Carolina and Khristopher Tacy and fiancé (Emily) of West Virginia.
Friends may call at the White-Anderson Funeral Home from 5PM to 7 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville. Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville.
