Dale L. Jones

     Dale L. Jones, 82, of Summersville, WV passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 in the Bower’s Hospice House at Beckley.  Born January 19, 1943 at Gamoca, Fayette County, WV, he was a son of the late Bernard and Naomi Workman Jones.  He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Davy Jones.

     He was a former coal miner, an employee of Saudi-Aramco for 14 years as an engineer in the oil fields, was owner/operator of Jones Apartments for 30 years.  His hobbies included collecting antique show cars and tinkering/fixing broken things.  He often helped those in need and youth in the community.

     Survivors include his wife, Janet Faye Woods Jones; two daughters, April Dawn Morris and Laura Lynn (Shawn) Murphy; grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Murphy, Ryan Aidan Murphy, and Christopher Everett Morris; one brother, David Jones; and one nephew, Terry Jones.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 in the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville with Pastor Delbert Walker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woods Family Cemetery at Enoch.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
