Danny Arlen Smith

    With his wife by his side Danny Arlen Smith passed due to a heart attack on July 15, 2025.

    Danny was a hardworking man who spent a lot of his life outdoors. He made a living by being a skilled timber cutter. He spent over have his life in the woods cutting timber. Along with his love for the outdoors he enjoyed working on vehicles, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. He was always down for an adventure. 

    Danny A. Smith was born in Summersville WV on July 30, 1983, son of Sharon Smith (Hammons) and Danny Lewis. He is the beloved husband of Kisha Smith. Proud father of 4; Hayden (Starla) Foster, Rylee Hall, Trey Smith and Katelynn Smith. He was Honored to be the Papaw of Alaia and Lailyn. Brother to Nikki (Gary) Justice, Jeffrey (Donna) Hammons, Travis (Nova) Hammons, Chad (Megan) Hammons, Brantlee Lewis, Chandler Lewis and Danielle Huffman. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. 

    Though he worked hard he knew how to laugh. His smile was infectious and he loved hard. He would do anything for anyone and would never ask for anything in return. He will forever be loved and never forgotten.

    In lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild, friend or walk in the woods for a moment. Time waits for no one.
