Delbert Lee Strickland

     Delbert Lee Strickland, 81, of Mt. Lookout, WV passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.  Born October 19, 1940 at Carbondale, he was a son of the late Homer Cecil and Gracie Vinia Smith Strickland.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Daniel, Harold, and Homer; sisters, Reba and Mildred, and his grandson, Jacob Neff.

     He was a US Army veteran and he was retired from the Pipefitters Union #625 working in various locations.  He liked fishing, WVU football, working on his computer, and he enjoyed building around the house.

     Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Judith Strickland; daughters, Angela Jill Saunders of Kernersville, NC, Pamela Jane (John) Matthews of Laurinburg, NC, and Heather Leigh (James) Harmon of Mt. Nebo; grandchildren, Joshua Saunders, Amanda Snyder, Lauren Albright, Erica Esslinger, Jared Rodriguez-Cayro, James Tyler Harmon, and Jordan Harmon; great grandchildren, Emerson Saunders, Aidan Esslinger, Freyja Uber, Amelia Morrison, Alek Albright, Atticus Albright, Liam LaValley, Lucas Albright, Braelyn Harmon, Damien Rodriguez-Cayro, Kingston Harmon, Salem Rodriguez-Cayro, and Oliver Rodriguez-Cayro;  siblings, Martha, Eugene, and Larry Strickland; and a host of other family and friends.

     A celebration of his life along with his grandson, Jacob Neff will be held at a later date.

     White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
