Donald Mark Vernon Johnson

     Donald Mark Vernon Johnson, 63, of Mt. Nebo, WV passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 in the Hubbard Hospice West in South Charleston.  Born November 18, 1961 in Summersville, he was a son of the late Buddy and Gertie Holbrook Johnson.  He was also preceded in death by siblings, Golden Johnson, Daniel Johnson, John Johnson, Anna Mae Propps, Sharon Shifflet, Nancy Wilson, and Jean Nichols.

     He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved the outdoors and he loved life.

     Survivors include his wife, Chris Wilson Johnson; children, Dawn (John Adkins) Wilson and McKenzie (Youkun) Pan; one granddaughter, Leuxury Eve; two brothers, Clifford (Marie) Johnson and Billy (Beverly) Johnson; a sister, Louise Foster; special grandchildren, Logan, Bailey, and Owen Adkins; and a host of other family and friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2025 in the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville with Pastor Arvin Hanshaw officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spruce Grove Church Cemetery at Mt Nebo.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
