Duane “Cricket” Greene, 75, of Cowen, WV passed into peace on Friday, February 10, 2023. The youngest child of ten, born to Lowell and Delsa Greene.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Greene; two sons, Corkie (Peggy) and Willie; two grandsons, Ricky (Liz) and Caleb; great granddaughter, Elaina; stepson, Zach; grandson, Doninic, as well as countless more friends, family, and loved ones.
Duane began his career in the coal mines at age 16, then soon enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After he retired from the coal mines he continued as a truck driver for many years, doing the work he loved. He had a strong work ethic and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, or just relaxing in nature. He was always eager to help to teach those he called friends. He is very much loved and will be missed by so many, but we’ll see him again soon.
His wish is that no services are to be held.
White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
