Edith Josie Campbell

Edith Josie Campbell, 89, of Summersville, WV passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the Bower’s Hospice House at Beckley. Born December 7, 1930 at Bays, WV, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Rachel S. Mirl Rose. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sida Campbell and a daughter, Judy Leanna Bragg. She was retired from the Nicholas County DHHR and was a former greeter at Wal-Mart in Summersville for many years. She loved quilting, sewing, crocheting, and made some of the most beautiful quilts. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanie (Elden) Mullens of Tioga and a son, James “Jimmy” Bragg of Glen Daniels; one half-sister, Kathy Haynes of New York; seven grandchildren, Kevin Bragg, Joanna Cooper, Elizabeth Whittaker, Loretta Mullens, Carrie Gilson, Nick Taylor, and Edna Kester, and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in the West Virginia Memorial Gardens at Calvin with Pastor Clifford Broggi officiating.
