Ellis Summers “Bucky” Frame, III, 79, of Summersville passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born December 31, 1944, in Elkins, WV, he was the son of the late Ellis S. Frame Jr. and Elizabeth Lyle Harding Frame. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Jane Cook.
Bucky was a member of the Richwood and Summersville Presbyterian Churches where he also volunteered for the Bread of Life Food Pantry. He was in the Army National Guard and attended Marshall University. Bucky was a banker for 44 years, beginning at Nicholas County Bank and later became CEO of Community Trust Bank in Summersville. He was one of the longest-serving members of the WV Democratic State Executive Committee. He also volunteered for the reading program at Summersville Elementary School. Bucky was a loyal, devoted husband who loved his children and grandchildren. He had a host of friends and continued to make new friends throughout his life, as he had never met a stranger.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Cathy Campbell Frame; two sons, Ellis (Kristina) Frame, IV and Jonny Frame; one daughter, Rebecca (Kyle) Frame Collier; beloved grandchildren, McKenzie and Cate; two sisters, Elizabeth Eaton and Kay Frame; brother-in-law, Bob Cook and many other family and friends whom he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center in Summersville where friends may call and pay their respects to the family from 2-5 P.M. under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Grand Order of the Royal Leprechauns, an organization which provides community services and scholarships in Nicholas County.
