Eloise Williams

Eloise Williams, 86, of Summersville, WV passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.  Born December 27, 1934 in Summersville, WV she was a daughter of the late Dorsey and Thelma Clevenger Townsend.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Edwin Williams; three sisters, Agnes Townsend, Augustine Townsend Ray, and Beatrice Ellanora Townsend; one brother, Dorsey “Earl” Townsend, Jr.

      She was a Methodist by Faith and was a former employee of City Grill at Summersville, Johnson’s Department Store, H&R Block, and retired from Sears at Montgomery.

      Survivors include one brother, Bob (Layhoma) Townsend of Summersville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

      Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville with Pastor Shirley Hellms officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.  There will be no visitation.
