Ermon E. Long

     Ermon E. Long, 95, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 in the Stonerise Nursing Home at Beckley.  Born February 9, 1928 at Jettsville, he was a son of the late Newman E. and Tex Anna Lawrence Long.  He was also preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Steven Long; stepson, Joe Bill Bowers, Jr.; grandson, Caden Hunter Ritchea; siblings, Delsie, Ray, Gene, Roy, Clarence, and Hazel.

     He attended Liberty Union Mission Church at Craigsville, was an Army Korean War veteran, and was the owner operator of Long Trucking Company.

     Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Ann Boggs Long; children, Connie (Phillip) McNeil of Helvetia, Debbie (Gary) Gilbert of Summersville, and Cindi (Jeff) Ritchea of Martinsburg; son/nephew, Roger (Pat) Long of OH; three stepdaughters, Donna Meadows of Mt. Nebo, Sharon (Mike) Curry of Tioga, and Debbi Petti of Cottle; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. 

       Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin with Pastors Jerry Hayhurst and  Billy Meadows (his grandson) officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.

     There will be no visitation.
