Eugene Lloyd Morrison

     Eugene Lloyd “Chipso” Morrison, 84, of Summersville, WV passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in the Stonerise Nursing Home at Beckley.  Born April 7, 1937 at Summersville, he was a son of the late Anthony and Lizzie Hinkle Morrison.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Morrison and by several siblings.

     He was an Air Force veteran and was a retired coal miner with many years of service with Sewell Coal Company.

     Survivors include his partner of twenty-three years, Betty Beirne; his daughter, Teresa (David) Jacobs of Covington, GA; three sisters, Evelyn, Francis, and Jewel; one brother, Raymond; one grandson, Zachary Jacobs.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vermon Cemetery at Glade Creek.

     Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one-hour prior to the funeral services.
