Eva Irene (Nutter) Stover

      Eva Stover, 89, of Dunbar, WV went to her Heavenly Home on September 17, 2023 at Marmet Center - Mary’s Garden in Marmet, WV after a long illness.  Eva was born on August 4, 1934 in Summersville, WV to the late Perry E. and Lena (Legg) Nutter. She was the youngest of nine children.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Everette (Nutter) Pierson, and seven brothers: Harry, Cecil, Keith, Shorty, Bona, Ed, and Herb.  She was also preceded in death by granddaughter Lindsay Erin Nutter.

      Eva was an employee of Thomas Memorial Hospital with 30 years of service.  She was also a member of Pierson Chapel in Zela, WV.

      Left to cherish her memory, Eva is survived by her children, Timothy (Laura) Nutter of Anderson, IN, Tony (Lisa) Nutter of South Charleston, WV and Tammy Erwin of Dunbar, WV; her granddaughters, Tabitha (Josh) Stover, Brittany Erwin (Blake Eagan), Caitlin (Trevor) Wilson, and Lydia Nutter; her great-grandchildren, Willow and Silas Stover, Trey, Taryn, and Laney Wilson; and great grand-dogs.

      Above all, Eva treasured every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of which she loved abundantly.

      A Memorial Service will be held on October 28, 2023 at Pierson Community Church  on Whitewater Road in Zela, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the service immediately following with Rev. Joe Wolfe officiating.

      The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and “Brother” Bob Dill at Marmet Center - Mary’s Garden for the love and care they gave to our Mom.  We would also like to thank White Funeral Home, Summersville, WV for their professional, caring services.
