George Furphy

      George Furphy, 62, of Nettie, WV passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at his home.  Born April 30, 1963 he was a son of Charlotte Leiter Furphy and the late Edward George Furphy.     He was also preceded in death by one infant sister.

      He loved to build bikes and trikes.  He enjoyed swimming and he loved his family and grandchildren.

      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lorraine Furphy; three sons, Stuart (Joyce) Furphy, Michael Furphy and his fiancé Jody, and Steven (Sarah) Furphy; one daughter, Charlotte (Oda) Furphy-Springer; sister, Jackie (Steve) Barnes; one step brother, Andrew Brown; ten grandchildren, Paige, Maddison, Mackenzie, George, Chloe, Jessica, Mikayla, Brooke, Michael, Jr. and Oakley.     

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Father Walter Mycoff officiating.  Interment will follow in the Canaday Cemetery at Crab Orchard.

      Friends may call at the funeral home on the day of the service from noon to 1:00 PM
