Gerald Ted Pierson

     Gerald Ted “Gill” Pierson, 83, of Zela, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in the Summersville Healthcare Center. Born July 22, 1942 at Belle, WV; he was a son of the late Ted and Everette Nutter Pierson.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, William Cecil “Pedo” Pierson, Karen Mae Pierson Stover, Shirley Jean Pierson Brooker, Sarah Pierson, Kenneth “KP” Pierson, Bennett Ray “Ben” Pierson, Sue Pierson Holstein, and Gregory Dean Pierson.

     He attended the Pierson Chapel Community Church at Zela and he loved horses.

     Survivors include his siblings, Don Pierson, Dan Pierson, and Marion Bryant; several nieces and nephews.

     Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025 in the Pierson Chapel Community Church at Zela with Pastor Arnold Nicholas  officiating.

     White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
