Gloria Diane Joo

     Gloria Diane Joo, 84, of Canvas, WV passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 in the CAMC-General Division Hospital in Charleston.  Born June 20, 1940 at Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Earl Bryant and Josephine Taylor Matthews.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Yong Don Joo.

     She was a Methodist by faith and was a retired anesthesiologist.

     Survivors include her daughter, Cara Sams; a son, Michael Matthews Lewis; one stepdaughter, Janey Joo Hagerty; one stepson, David Joo; three grandchildren, Christopher Shane Boggs, Brandon Lee McClung, and Emily Rose Hagerty; great grandchildren, Christopher Shane Boggs, Jr., Bailey Ann Boggs, Nathan Evans, and Hazel Renee Lewis.

     Burial was held in the Ferguson Family Cemetery at Canvas on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

     White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center was in charge of the arrangements.
