Gregory Dean Pierson

      Gregory Dean Pierson, 66, of Drennen, WV passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the WVU-Summersville Regional Medical Center.  Born April 10, 1957 at Summersville, WV he was a son of the late Ted and Everette Nutter Pierson.  He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

      He attended the Pierson Chapel Community Church.  He loved to listen to Elvis gospel music, was a former coal miner and a carpenter in the construction industry.  He also loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.

      Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Debbie Pierson; daughter, Chrystal Bartone; son, Aaron Pierson; two step-children, Christina Akers and Christopher Woody; four siblings, Marion Bryant, Dan Pierson, Don Pierson, Gill Pierson; nine grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.       

      Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in the Pierson Chapel Community Church at Zela with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.
