Gwendolyn Retta Fink

     Gwendolyn Retta Fink, 49, of Ansted, WV passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at her home.  Born August 27, 1974 at Portsmouth, VA; she was the daughter of Jack and Denise Dobson Allmendinger.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Dorothy Dobson and her aunt, Nadine Riggs.

     She was a member of the National Thespian Society, went to school at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, and was employed by Shafer (Erie) Insurance in Summersville.

     Survivors include her parents, Denise and Jack Allmendinger; two sons, Gareth Jordon and Nathan Jordan and his girlfriend, Eren Knudsen; husband, Randy Fink; cousin, Jennifer and David Fletcher; uncle, Ralph and HaeSuk Dobson; three cats, Lilly, Maeve, and Pumpkin; and a host of other family and friends.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in the Memorial United Methodist Church in Summersville with Pastor Dan Lowther officiating. 

     Friends may call at the church on Saturday one-hour prior to the funeral services.

     In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to your local animal shelter.
