Harold Wayne Legg

     Harold Wayne Legg, 82, of Mt. Lookout, WV passed away at his home on Sunday, June 7, 2026.  Born April 19, 1944 at Mt. Lookout, he was a son of the late James Burton and Hilda Evelyn Shaffer Legg.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren Keith Legg.

     He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at Mt. Lookout, was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA.  He loved to be outdoors and loved to mow, hunt, and fish.

     Survivors include his companion, Diane Lewis; children, Donald Wayne (Ronda) Legg, Kim Nuckols and Doug, and Stephanie (Arvin) Lucas; one brother, James Kenneth (Donna) Legg; two sisters, Marian Faye Smathers and Susan Diane Legg; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren;  and a host of other family and friends.

     Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026   in the Legg Family Cemetery off of Honeysuckle Lane in Mt. Lookout with Pastor Joe Shaffer      officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White-Anderson Funeral and Cremation Center at Summersville.

     There will be no visitation.
