Harold E. Walton

     Harold E. Walton, 73, of Mt. Nebo, WV passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 30, 2025 after a long illness.  Born February 1, 1952 at Richwood, he was a son of the late William and Louisa Bennett Walton.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

     He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era as an intelligence specialist.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Mountain State University and he was retired from water and waste treatment plants in WV, NC, SC, and MS.

     He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sandra; daughter, Becky Chittum; grandson, Shathin Chittum of NC; son, Harold Walton, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer Walton; his granddaughter, Victoria Walton of Mt. Nebo; and a host of other family and friends; and he loved them all.

     It was his wish to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. 

     White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
