Herbert Dye Kelley

      Herbert Dye Kelley, 89, of Concord, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, NC.  Born January 15, 1935 he was a son of the late Earl and Myrle Tracy Kelley.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Kelley in 2017, an infant daughter, Kimberly Ann Kelley, and one brother, Donald Kelley.

      He was a member of the Eastway Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  He retired after 33 years of service with Eastern Airlines and was a scout master of 20 years for the Boy Scouts of America.

      Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Richard Kelley and James Kelley; two sons, Michael Kelley (wife, Sherry) and David Kelley (wife, Susan); five grandchildren, Heather Kelley (husband, Charles McGowan), Ashley Kelley, Brittany Kelley (husband, Brian Kearns), Jordan Kenefick (husband, Trevor), and Brandon Kelley; three great grandchildren, Charlie Kenefick, Teddy Kenefick, and Finan McGowan; and a host of other family and friends.

      Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville, WV with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
