Hilda J. Anderson

Hilda J. Anderson, 92, of Summersville, WV passed away in the Universal Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Concord, NC on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Born March 8, 1928 in Allegheny County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Ralph and Charlotte Jane Little Matters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lewis Anderson, Sr.; three sisters, Elmira Carrie Hotovec, Rosamond Verna Matters, and Sadie Cullen; two brothers, Wilmer Ralph “Donald” Matters and David Edward Matters, Sr.; grandson, Jonathan Allen; great- granddaughter, Megan Nicole Allen; twin great- grandsons, Jacob and Paul Stover. Survivors include three children, Carol Allen of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Arthur Anderson, Jr. of Summersville, and Shelley Barnette of Summersville; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020 in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating.
