Hilda Mae Grose

Hilda Grose, 84, of Summersville, WV passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Ansted Center in Ansted.  Born May 4, 1937 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mazie Martin Grose.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Ballengee in 1983 and a nephew, Keith Ballengee in 2012.

      She was a deaconess of the Summersville Baptist Church and retired from the unemployment service office in Summersville.  After retirement, she worked part-time for Mark Romano’s photography as his secretary.

      Survivors include lifelong friends and neighbors, Patty Spinks, Andrea Spinks Carr and husband, Jimmy, Cassie Spinks Foster and son, Cameron Joseph William Foster.  Special thanks to Becky White and Tammy Hughes (Doug) for all their love and support over the years.

      Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
