Iva Phillips

       Iva R. Phillips, 80, of Summersville, WV passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the WVU-Summersville Extended Care Facility.  Born April 8, 1941 she was a daughter to the late Hobert and Lovda Ayers Williams.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Bill and Scott.

      She was a member of the Mountain State Baptist Church in Summersville and was a homemaker.  She will be remembered for her saying “Don’t worry bout me, I’m fine” and as a happy and bright storyteller of the good ole days and her precious momma. She loved going to church, working puzzles, reading books, and her best friend Donna.

      Iva is survived by three children (and spouses) Chris (Tammy), Jeff (Tammy), Susan (Paul); brothers (and spouses) Grant (Janet) and Robert (Ursala); five grandchildren, Travis, Sydni, Jakeb, Meggan, Noah and one great grandchild Trevor; and a host of other family and friends.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Mountain State Baptist Church in Summersville with Pastor Mark Secrist officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery at Pool under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.  Friends may call at the Mountain State Baptist Church one hour prior to the services.
