James Robert “Turtle” Milam, 72, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in the WVU-Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center. Born March 19, 1949 in Richwood, he was a son of the late Charles Robert and Catherine Frances Frazer Milam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Craigsville, was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War, was a retired coal miner, and a world class handyman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Libby Coffindaffer Milam; children, James Robert (Lori) Milam, II, Amy Brooke (Michael) Nuzum, and Kevin Lewis (Erin) Milam; sisters, Janice Ludwig, Judy (John Andy) Hamon, and Dinah Groves; a brother by another mother, John Miller; six grandchildren, Austin (Felicia) Milam, Brooklyn Nuzum, Logan Milam, Michael Nuzum, II, Trey Milam, and Roman Milam; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Pastor Jamie Bodiford officiating. A time for food and fellowship will follow at the First Baptist Church at Craigsville; 16664 West Webster Road; Craigsville, WV 26205 Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until service time.
