James Edward Morris

James Edward “Jimmy” Morris, 72, of Summersville, WV passed away at his home on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  Born May 28, 1950 at Richwood, WV he was a son of the late Paris and Irene Harman Morris.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Long Morris; daughter, Jennifer Michelle Morris; siblings, Mary Conley, Christine Chapman, and Paris Morris, Jr.

      He was a retired truck driver for Bell Reclamation, a former employee for Shelton Trucking and Naomi Trucking.  He loved his guns, animals, and spending time with Jessica.  He will be sadly missed by his son and granddaughter.

      Survivors include his son, Joe Morris; daughter, Jessica Kia Ann Morris; grandson, Justin Morris; siblings, Linda Crager, David Morris, Charlene Morris and Kimberly (Terry) Frame.    

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the White Funeral Home in Summersville with Pastor Oz Gray officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
