Janet Sue Singleton, 71, of Tioga, WV passed away after a battle with cancer on Monday, April 17, 2023 in the CAMC-Memorial Division Hospital at Charleston. Born March 31, 1952 at Richwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late John Wayne and Dorothea Lee Armentrout Curry, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alton Singleton and by a sister-in-law, Jean Curry.
She was an active member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at Craigsville and was a retired school teacher with 30 years of service.
Survivors include three sons, Bret (Sara) Singleton, Ben (Angie) Singleton, and Cameron Singleton, one grandson, Addison Singleton, all of Tioga, WV; step grandchildren,
Brooke Tenney and Aaron Tenney; step great granddaughter, Annabell Tenney; one brother, John W. Curry of VA.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at Craigsville with Pastor Brandon Moll officiating. In keeping with her wish she was cremated.
White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
