Jarrell Wayne Vandall

     Jarrell Wayne Vandall, 74, of Nallen, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2023 with his family by his side. Born December 14, 1948 at Hinton, he was a son of the late James W. and Christine (Mason) Vandall.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Champe.

     Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Mary L. (Walkup) Vandall; one son, Scott and wife Terri Vandall of Jane Lew; three grandchildren, Ashley and husband DJ Savage, Erica Vandall, and Kristyn Vandall.

     He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Summersville, WV and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. A coal miner by trade, he was also experienced in construction. In later years, he would retire from the West Virginia Department of Culture and History. He was natural mechanic, leading him to become a classic car enthusiast, a passion he shared with his son. A hard worker by nature, he could often be found working outside or in his garage. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, son, and grandchildren, the lights of his life. Jarrell will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with Reverend Dave Lancaster officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Rest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Victor.

    Friends may call at the White Funeral Home at Summersville on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
