Jason Cogar Obituary
Richard Jason Cogar, 59, of Cowen, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in the WVU-Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center. Born April 26, 1967 at Webster Springs, he was a son of the late Billy V. and Shirley Springston Cogar. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Haleigh Cogar Hadaway.
He was a retired building construction worker and he loved to do handyman jobs.
Survivors include his son, Justyn (Angel) Cogar; siblings, Darlene Overby, Bobbie Roberson, and Tim Cogar; three grandchildren, Kaidyn, Scarlett, and Riley.
In keeping with his wishes he was cremated and no services will be held at this time.
White-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Center at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
