Jeff Molnar, 69, passed into eternal life on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at home, surrounded by the people he loved most—his wife, daughter, and two grandchildren. Born on October 13, 1956, in Munhall, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Francis P. Molnar and Rosemarie Diduch Molnar. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dennis.
Jeff was a loving husband, father, and Pap Pap. He attended West Mifflin High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from California State College of California Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity and served as Corresponding Secretary.
He was commissioned as a Combat Engineer in the United States Army and served for eight years in the West Virginia National Guard, attaining the rank of Captain.
Jeff understood the importance of providing for his family and worked many jobs throughout his life, despite long-standing health challenges. Prior to retiring on disability in 2005, he concluded his career as Director of Student Services and Academic Dean at West Virginia Junior College, in Charleston. He was a proud, highly involved, founding member of the Knights of Columbus Marist Council #7772 where he served in several leadership positions including Grand Knight and District Deputy. He worked countless hours of bingo, fish frys, and other philanthropic endeavors.
He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved music, especially from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. His knowledge of both sports and music was remarkable.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Louise Stabile Molnar; his daughter, Alyssa (Jared) Suarez; his grandchildren, Cayden and Maria-Rosa Suarez; his sister, Gloria (Russ) Matthias; nieces Mandy (Mike) Morton and Annie (Riley) Forge; and his nephew, Matthew (Rachel) Matthias.
