Jerry Roger Groves

Jerry Roger Groves, 77, of Nettie, WV passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Hubbard Hospice House at Charleston.  Born November 5, 1945 in Canvas, WV he was a son of the late Elmer Randolph and Iva Pearl Hartley Groves.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Groves and one sister, Patricia Johnson.

      He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the UMWA and a coal miner.  He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren and family.

      Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly Groves; children, Greg (Amber) Groves and Adonia (Pat) McCutcheon; grandchildren, McKinley McCutcheon, Braelynn McCutcheon, and Isaiah Groves; and a host of other family and friends.

      Private graveside services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Nettie under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville.
