Johnny Wayne Clay, 59, of Tioga, WV passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. He is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior after his long courageous battle. Born April 3, 1960 in Webster Springs, WV, he was a son of Carol Anne Clay and the late Johnny Earl Holmes. He attended the Tioga House of Prayer, was a Christian by faith and gave his life to Christ, and was an employee of Tioga Auto Parts and Rebuilders. Survivors include his wife, Mari Selene Clay; daughter, Amanda Marie-Anne Clay, at home; son, Jon Scott Clay, at home; mother, Carol Anne Holmes of Richwood; sisters, Carolyn “Sis” Bunch of Charlottesville, VA, Vicki (Bobby) Markum of Richwood, and Linda (Delmas) Johnston of Staunton, VA; brother, Donald Holmes of Richwood; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Tioga House of Prayer at Tioga with Pastor Bob Friend officiating.
