Jody was born in Quinwood, WV to the late James and Bessie Yeargo, also preceding her were her loving husband Charles L. Dorsey of 60 years; stepfather Herbert Hellems; sisters Catherine (Junior) Sears, Trecie (Ike) Alloway, and Mary (Jim) McCoy; sisters-in-law Marge (Lorraine) Lane, Marguerite (Herold) Darby; nephews Donald Sears, James McCoy, David McCoy and Richard Lane and niece Sara Flanagan.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Cheryl (Rick) Amick and Carla (Joe) Neil; sister in law Betty Wickline; special family Eula Dorsey and special friend Edith Huffman, also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews on both sides of her family.
Jody graduated from Richwood High School. She was a loving wife, mother and a homemaker. She was member of the Green Valley Baptist Church. She was a long term member of the Eastern Star and West Virginia Extension CEO. She was an avid sport fan,especially WVU football.
Jody will hold a special place in the hearts of those that knew her and loved her dearly.
Her family wishes to thank the providers and staff at Summersville Regional Medical Center, Fairview Healthcare, Summersville Healthcare Center and especially Dr. Stephen Shank for almost fifty years of wonderful care.
Honoring Jody's wishes burial services will be Wednesday November 13, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery Nettie WV at 2pm under the direction of White-Anderson Funeral Home Summersville, WV, Dr. Stephen Shank officiating.
