Kenneth “KP” Pierson, 85, of Summersville, WV took his heavenly flight on Monday, June 28, 2021. Born January 29, 1936 at Zela, he was a son of the late Ted and Everette Nutter Pierson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Faye Pierson, siblings, William, Shirley, Karen, Sara, Ben, and Sue. He was the Pastor at the Church of the Nazarene at Craigsville at the time of his death and had pastored in other churches in Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Nicholas County Honor Guard. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile, loved to study the word of God, and was an amazing man of God. Survivors include his wife, Dianna Grose Pierson; children, Ted Pierson and Amy Pierson Keeler; two step children, Rebecca and Shawn; siblings, Marion, Dan, Gill, Don, and Greg; two grandchildren, Dakota and Brock; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Church of the Nazarene at Craigsville with Pastors Brett Layton and Mervin Smith officiating. Private burial services will be held in OH under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from noon until time of services.
