Kenneth Dean Sales, Jr.

September 19, 1956 ~ January 19, 2023 (age 66) 66 Years Old


     Kenneth “Ken” Dean Sales, Jr., 66, of Summersville, WV passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.  Born September 19, 1956 at South Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth Dean Sales, Sr. and Marjorie Kidd Sales.

     Ken was a graduate of Nitro High School and Marshall University.  He was a retired US Probation Officer in the Southern District of WV.  He liked to go jeeping, boating and fishing on Summersville Lake, spending time at his camp on the Greenbrier River, and he loved to woodcraft in his workshop.

     Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bell Sales; sons, Kenneth David Sales of Summersville and Michael Charles (Megan) Sales of Mt. Lookout; grandsons, Davey and Colin; sisters, Kristine Dunlap of Nitro and Karen (Phil) Childers of Salisbury, NC; aunt, Janette Hartje of MO;  brother-in-law, John B. “Mike” (Ann) Bell of Charleston and sister-in-law, Janet Bell of VA; several nieces and nephews.

     At his request, there will be no formal funeral.  Ken has donated his body to the Human Gifts Registry at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.  There will be a celebration of Ken’s life at his camp on the Greenbrier River at a later date.
