Lewis S. Bennett

     Lewis S. Bennett, 90, of Drennen, WV passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the Peyton Hospice House at Lewisburg.  Born November 3, 1930 at Tipton, WV, he was a son of the late Shelvie Francis and Iva Evaline Stephenson Bennett.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Grose Bennett, his son, Bruce Bennett; and by two siblings, Bonnie Hall and Gary Bennett.       He was a Methodist by faith and a US Air Force Korean War veteran. He was a retired overhead crane operator at Bethlehem Steel at Baltimore, MD, loved to hunt and fish, and did gardening and mechanic work as a hobby.       Survivors include his children, Michael Bennett of Baltimore, MD, Lisa Greason of Dundalk, MD, and Brian Bennett of Pasadena, MD; siblings, Gaye Kincaid of Tipton, Jessie Hanks of Poe, Basil Bennett of Dunbar, Ruth Taylor of Summersville, Juanita Hanshaw of Tipton, Carol Woods of Summersville, and Darrell Bennett of Tipton; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.        It was his wish to be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.       White Funeral Home at Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.       Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whitefuneralhomewv.com
