Lewis W. Collins, 81, of Craigsville, WV passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Peyton Hospice House at Lewisburg after an extended illness surrounded by loved ones. Born September 8, 1939 at Gilmer, he was a son of the late Oda and Eva Mae Casto Collins. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty, Cecil, Clifford, Nora, Guy, Gabe, and Ruth. He was a Baptist by faith, was a retired union carpenter, and he loved to fish and hunt. Survivors include his true love and wife, Lilly M. Dodrill Collins; children, Lisa Harber of Lodi, OH, Loretta (Kenneth) Runyon of Oak Hill, Steven Collins of Oak Hill, Daniel Collins of New Lisbon, WI, Peggy (Gerald) Knight of Craigsville, and Kathy Phillips of Orlando, FL; one sister, Ruby Carson of Burnsville; eight grandchildren, John Harber, Ashley (Ryan) Reneau, Brandon Collins, Cory Collins, Elissa Collins, Kaleb Cornwell, Alex Collins, and Isabella Collins; five great grandchildren, Xavier and Mikaela Reneau, Max Cafarelli, and Larkin Collins, and Jackson Harber. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the West Virginia Memorial Gardens at Calvin with Pastor Ricky Bragg officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the White Funeral Home at Summersville. There will be no visitation.
