Linda Sue Williams

        With heavy hearts, we announce Linda Sue Williams, 69 of Summersville, WV, started her journey back to God on July 17, 2026, at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She fought like a warrior.

        Linda was born on August 15, 1956 in Richwood, WV. She was the daughter of the late Robert Williams and was raised by her late mother Betty L. Barnhouse and step-father Robert E. Barnhouse   Sr. of Summersville, WV.

        Linda retired from the Nicholas County School System where she impacted the lives of many students. She had a Master’s Degree in Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in art/photography. She was also a certified welder.

        Linda enjoyed being outside boating, swimming and fishing with her friends and family. She loved listening to music of all kinds. Loved traveling, she had a love for life and was always seeking out new experiences and adventures. She was passionate about her country and women’s rights. She was self taught in restoring old things in bringing them back to their original glory. She thought anything was possible to achieve, you only had to open a book to learn. She was also passionate about education and believed you should never stop learning no matter the age.

        She is survived by her sister, Vonda L. Morehead, husband Glen Morehead of Mills River, NC., and nephew RJ Seymour and niece Racheal Gliniack  both living in North Carolina. A brother, Robert E. Barnhouse Jr., wife Melinda Barnhouse of Summersville, WV and 2 nieces Sherri Jeffords and Emily Jones both living in Summersville,WV. She is survived by 2 great nephews and 6 great nieces.

        Linda’s legacy is her family, a joy of togetherness, a lifelong teaching,learning, kindness, and to take joy in the simplest things. Linda will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and loyalty given so freely and the life she brought to the lives around her. You were blessed and loved to be called family or friend by her. There will be no funeral services, per her wishes.
