Lowell B. Morriston

Lowell B. Morriston, 85, of Summersville, WV passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 in the CAMC-Memorial Division Hospital at Charleston. Born March 21, 1935 at Zela, WV, he was a son of the late Bert and Mae Brown Morriston. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mae Jean Wenger and by four brothers, Myron, Herman, Harry, and Bob Morriston. He received his Master’s Degree from WV University in 1969. He attended the Memorial United Methodist Church at Summersville and was a retired school principal with the Nicholas County Board of Education with more than 50 years of service. He enjoyed taking daily walks and put his 5 miles in each day and he enjoyed working with his flowers. Survivors include his son, Brian Morriston and his fiancée, Charlene Wiseman; one sister, Naurine Cobb. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic private graveside services will be held on Tuesday in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville with Pastor Carolyn Mash officiating. There will be no visitation.
